Martina you are right. Me too, I have never seen Duchess Lydia of Pistoia wearing another tiara from this pearls and diamonds one, commonly referred as the "Ancona tiara". I saw different portraits of her always wearing this tiara. On the contrary, I have never seen Duchess Lucia of Ancona (née Bourbon-Two-Sicilies) wearing this tiara, not even on her wedding day to Prince Eugenio of Savoia-Genova, Duke of Ancona. This is what it may have happened: Duchess Lucia of Ancona has probably inherited the tiara on the death of her sister-in-law, Duchess Lydia of Genova in 1977. When the tiara was sold afterwards, it was in the possession of the Ancona branch of the Savoy family, and here it took the name. Just a possibility.
