I have no information on this brooch being sold or not, I mentioned the possibilitie since this was the only pic I found of it being worn by Duchess Katherine, and it dates back 30 years ago. It is known that the Kents did sell some jewels (the wonferful saphire tiara is well known to have been sold, also Pss Marina's fabulous Diamond bow brooch, but I don't know about smaller pieces). It would be nice to find more recent pics of the Duchess wearing it. On the other hand we know she has been withdrawn from public life for some years now, so it might still be in her possession and she just doesn't wear it. Or she passed it on to the next generation, her daughter or daughters-in-law, since this brooch is perfectly wearable by a more modern lady. So, many possibilities here, I hope someone can find some reliable info. I will try and keep searching for more pics of her.
