The emerald parure matching the bridal tiara had also an impressive necklace earrings and brooch. I know nothing on their provenance, sadly, nor to their presente whereabouts. On the roubery at Carmen's house in Paris was the entire parure stolen? It makes me wonder if perhaps the emerald parure was a gift from her family? If not, why should she take it with her after she separeted from her husband? If it was an heirloom from Don Alfonso it would probably stayed in his possession. This was such an impressive and regal parure, such a pity it is missing. From old spanish magazines here is the emerald parure worn by Carmen Martinez-Bordiu at the prewedding reception, with the tiara worn on the back of her head, as a bride, and at a gala in her years as Duchess of Cadiz. The lady next to her in a saphire tiara is Tessa de Baviera, she is a cousin of the present King as descendant of Queen Maria Cristina. I believe her tiara belonged to Queen Maria Cristina. --Previous Message-- : What happens to the fabulous tiara Carmen wore : on her wedding day.
