Yes, I was there. I felt as the only and youngest man :-)

Like Mrs Diamond I had hoped for more informations on Royal jewels on portraits that are worn today. There are so many portraits of Queen´s and princesses in the Bernadotte family.

Göran Alm told mostly about the portrait collection which can be seen at Gripsholm castle in Mariefred where I grown up. Among the portraits there are a big family portrait of King Karl XIV Johan and his family. In this portrait then Crown Princess Josephine is wearing the Cameo diadem which the present Crown Princess Victoria wore on her wedding day. This diadem was the only jewel which is still wearing today Mr Alm told about.

No, Göran Alm didn´t answer any questions which we other could hear. But I could see some people go to Mr Alm when he was finished with his lecture, and talked to him.

Some years ago I wrote to him and he replied and got some informations from me. So I was thinking if I could go to him and just say hello, but I didn´t do it, because I didn´t know how he would get reaction.

It would be have very nice to say hello to Mrs Diamond if I had know who she is :-)

: I'm sorry to say that there were no
: sensations or revelations, at least not
: during the 45 minutes I was present (I had
: to leave early). Lots of nice anecdotes and
: portraits of medieval and renaissance
: queens, covered in pearls :-)

: Claes, were you there? Did Göran Alm move on
: to jewels that we see today? And did he
: answer questions? Please tell us!
