I understand some would like to consider these as Orange-Nassau jewels but in reality they only belonged to Amalia von Solms and her daughter so they are hardly O-N heirlooms. Do many people even know who Amalia was? Very old Anhalt pieces with interesting O-N provenance, Yes. But will that fetch millions? Interesting to see. That stunning baroque stadholder pearl doesn't have the same aura of other famous pearls, simply because no one knew about it before. Nice story though. In any case it will be interesting to see what prices will be fetched.
