You might have a point there Beth.
I have noticed changes in the Queen's stance which seems to depend on how tired she might be when standing and walking.

: Bailey's photos capture the wonderful colour
: of these sapphires which complement the
: colour of HM's eyes. No wonder her father
: gave them to her as a wedding present.
: A number of portraits of HM in the last 2
: years give the impression that her head is
: at an odd angle -in particular a photograph
: of HM and the DoE released in NZ for the
: coronation celebrations. I suspect that the
: cause is the degeneration in HM's spine.

: I now recall the third pic from some days
: back showing a favourite brooch of mine -
: well of the Queen's actually!
    :
: Two things: the same strange angle
: distorting the face, and the odd framing of
    : that pic.

: New portrait of Queen Elizabeth II
    :
: n an excerpt from her essay in the June/July
    : 2014 Issue, Weldon writes:
: “Bailey’s new portraits of Queen Elizabeth
: II show the candor, wisdom, benevolence, and
: strength of will of the constitutional
: monarch of Great Britain these past 62
    : years.”
    :
: “In Her Majesty’s face we see a life of
    : resolution, integrity, forbearance; a
: dignity free of pomp and circumstance; and
: the inner beauty we have left if we’ve
: earned it, once the superficial gloss of
: youth has passed. Bailey shows us not an
: icon but someone familiar, friendly,
: engaging, and frank, with her strength in
    : its own understatement—so British a
    : quality.”
    :
: “When we look at these truly great
: portraits—at this collaboration by two
: Londoners, one a boy from the backstreets
: and an artist, the other a queen—we see, in
: an instant, the new spirit of a Great
: Britain that welcomes the future.”
