On the ceremonies of the 200th anniversary of Norway's Constitutions we could spot the lovely Ingrid Alexandra wearing the ruby and diamond pendant that her grandmother the Queen gave her as a birth gift.
The original gift was hanging from a pearl necklace but it seems the princess wore it hanging from a gold or silver chain.
Here's Queen Sonja wearing the heart pendant in the 1980's on the "original" version, hanging from the pearl necklace.
Is the provenance of this piece known (previous to Queen Sonja I mean)? Was it a royal provenance piece or aquired by her or a gift? Thank you in advance.
