A scientific investigation led to the opening of the coffin of emperor Henry VII in Pisa. The researchers frond the bones of the emperor, who died in 1313, together with a simple cerimonial crown, a sceptre and an orb in gilted silver, and above all a large magnificent silk coat, unique from that age for dimentions and its complex decoration. Pleas see attached link with article (in Italian) and video of the opening of the coffin.
