The photos of HM at the two events are about half way down the article. It's from the DM so don't even bother reading it. The photos aren't much better although there's a close up of HM at the garden party which would have shown the badges/brooches to a T, but they are cut out. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2641873/Prince-Harry-joined-fellow-officers-friends-ceremony-today-grandmother-Queen-presented-new-Standards-Household-Cavalry-Regiment.html --Previous Message-- : : I feel that I must intervene here because : posters seem to be misconstruing my interest : here. : : I want to see a clear pic of those two : brooches as worn by the Queen - twice : actually - on 28 May. : It's a picture. Right? Two pictures, : actually, : : At no point have I disputed what the : brooches might be. : At the start I said "At this stage I : assume they are both regimental badge : brooches but cannot be certain of course. : " : (Often the Queen wears one badge brooch with : a normal brooch). : Clearly I should never have said I was not : certain. : And I should have named the two regiments, : or divisions, or whatever the military term : is that identifies them correctly. : : But I still hope for (two) good pics - one : in the blue outfit and the other in the : strong pink outfit. : I am guessing now - guessing - that the : Queen wore two different colours to honour : the Blues and Royals and the Life Guards. : (That's two and not three.) : : Yes - I am getting a bit irritated over : things read into postings which were never : stated in the postings or intended. : : Whew! Over it! : : Perhaps the problem is that posters exchange : with each other in a number of other placees : over the jewels and the contexts of many : places of exchange get muddled together, and : mess up the story here? : : : : : --Previous Message-- : Surely the fact that during the day she : went : to horseguard's parade and presented new : colours to the Household cavalry regiment, : for whom these are the two badges, is enough : of a reason to identify them as badges for : these regiments? : : She would never wear a badge from a : different regiment - it would be : disrespectful to both involved regiments. : : --Previous Message-- : Many thanks Helen. I appreciate your : comments. : I hope that we can collectively solve this : issue re what HM is wearing in this set of : photographs. : : 0 : : : : :
