    I am pretty sure this topic has been discussed and, IIRC, the consensus was that the tiara the Princess Royal wore was the "Double Meander" shown below at an exhibition.

    It is also thought be be part of the Greville legacy left to QEQM in 1942. QEQM was never know to have worn it.



    The Princess Royal wore it sans plume!
