I found this picture of Queen Elizabeth visiting the East End during the war probably during the Blitz (autumn of 1940 to spring of 1941).
The brooch can be seen holding her corsage - as she often did back in the day.
Looks like HM is wearing the same outfit (and maybe event) as the right photo in Brock's montage.
Maybe this was a wedding gift?? It has a long history!
