Hi Maria Olivia, you are very welcome to ask questions on the portuguese jewels! To our knowledge Dona Isabel has at least one more (other than the Dom Luis diadem) major jewel worn by Queen Amélia: the diamond choker that the Duchess has also worn as a tiara. Dona Isabel also owns a saphire brooch (not yet discussed here, but already mentioned here several times) that at some point belonged to Queen Amélia. She never wore it in public. Hypothetically there could be some other jewels coming from the late queen, but so far I found no reliable source or document on what jewels these could be. There are many mystery provenances and whereabouts on the portuguese royal jewels . The whereabouts of Queen Amélia´s fabulous long pearl necklace is unknown... Here´s Queen Amélia wearing the Diamond choker (amongs other fabulous jewels) and Dona Isabel wearing it as choker and as tiara in Sweden for the king´s 60th birthday celebrations.
It is referred in some source books that the previous Queen Augusta Victoria (and later Countess Douglas) visited her former mother in law when the old queen was already in her final days, and that the queen gave her one piece of jewelry. It is not known exactly what jewel that was. When Augusta Victoria died, without descent, all her jewelry, including all the portuguese origin jewels given to her by her first husband and mother in law, were inherited by her nephews and nieces. Queen Amélia left the fabulous emerald brooch, that her uncle the Duke of Aumale had given her as wedding gift, to her sister Luisa, married with Pc Carlos de Bourbon-Dos-Sicílias. Along with the brooch there were two emerald pendants and a gold, diamond and emerald bracelet. Luisa´s daughter, Esperanza, inherited these emeralds. She was married to Dom Pedro of Brazil. Dona Esperanza gave the emeralds as a wedding gift to her daughter Pss Maria da Glória when she married Pc Alexander of Youguslavia. They divorced years later and she remarried with the Duke of Segorbe. In December 1981 Pss Maria da Gloria auctioned the emerald jewels in Sotheby´s New York (most likely she preferred having the Money rather than jewels she would rarely wore). They were auctioned again in 1999 and are now on anonymous hands... Here´s Queen Amélia wearing the emerald parure along with the emerald brooch from her uncle Aumale, and her niece Dona Esperanza of Brazil wearing the brooch at her daughter Maria da Gloria wedding.
