I think you are right about Princess Alexandra and the fringe tiara. At least according to some note that I copied from a previous discussion on this board. According to my notes Lady Patricia Ramsey is the standing behind Queen Astrid of the Belgiums and between Princess Viggo and Princess Thyra of Denmark. But she does not wear the emerald tiara either.

Lady Patricia also is not pictured on the group picture of the Swedish King's 80's birthday.

: On this picture of the pre-wedding ball of
: Crown Prince Frederik (later King Frederik
: IX) of Denmark and Princess Ingrid of Sweden
    : in 1935, I do not see Queen Victoria's
: emerald and diamond tiara worn by either of
    : the royal ladies present...
    :
    :
    :
: The lady standing between Crown Prince
: Frederik and Queen Alexandrine could
: possibly, judging from her face (but I am
: not 100% sure), be Princess Alexandra, 2nd
: Duchess of Fife; but she seems to be wearing
: her diamond fringe tiara, not the emerald
    : tiara.

: I seem to recall the tiara was worn for an
: event in Sweden or Denmark, though I am
: unable to find it now. I cannot recall which
: lady, but it was probably Princess Arthur of
: Connaught (née Princess Alexandra of Fife).
: Her husband Prince Arthur of Connaught was
: the brother-in-law of King Gustaf VI Adolf
: of Sweden, and thus the uncle of Queen
: Ingrid of Denmark. It might have been the
: latter´s wedding to Crown Prince Frederik of
: Denmark in 1935. Or a birthday celebration
    : for the Swedish King.
: Not many British royals attended events in
: those countries, but Lady Patricia Ramsay
: was the great-aunt of the Swedish King
: through his Saxe-Coburg mother, and also
: often attended events in Sweden.

: One year ago, Nellie posted on this board
: scans from the book The Queen's Coronation
: 1953, The Offiical Souvenir Album , by
: Caroline de Guitaut, Royal Collection Trust,
: 2013. On the second pic on Nellie's post,
: you can see a plan of the Royal Gallery.
: Princess Maud of Fife, Countess of Southesk
: does not appear on this plan, which could
: mean she did not attend the 1953 Coronation
: (contrary to 1937, when she was undoubtedly
: present in the Royal Gallery). Here is the

: I do not remember to have seen Princess Maud
: on the group pictures taken at Buckingham
: Palace by Cecil Beaton after the coronation
    : ceremony either.
    :
: And yes, that means that we have no
: photographc evidence of the emerald tiara
    : being worn between 1882 and 1960...

: Thank you, Cynthia. So does it mean that
    : this
: lady is not wearing the emerald tiara? That
: would mean that we have no evidence of it
: being worn between Victoria of Hesse and the
: 1960 State Opening of Parliament?
    :
: I had listed this lady as Lady Patricia in
: 1953. So who is she? As her hair is much
    : lighter, I don't think that she's the same
: as in the group picture.
