Indeed, the jewels Lady Patricia Ramsay is wearing were inherited from her mother, Princess Margaret-Louise of Prussia, Duchess of Connaught. The Fringe Tiara (convertible into a necklace) had been a wedding gift from Queen Victoria to her daughter-in-law the Duchess of Connaught. It came from the Queen's mother, the Duchess of Kent. I do not know the origin of the diamond double-rivière, nor of the diamond bow brooch. These jewels were sold at auction after Lady Patricia Ramsay's death, on 15th May 1974 at Christie's. Here is the Duchess of Connaught in 1907, wearing the Duchess of Kent's Fringe Tiara and the diamond bow brooch: Here are more information about these jewels, from Ursula's "Royal Magazin" website: http://www.royal-magazin.de/england/connaught/connaught-bow-brooch.htm http://www.royal-magazin.de/england/connaught/lady-patricia-bow-brooch.htm --Previous Message-- : The Lady Patricia is bedecked in her Mother's : jewels - fringe tiara, diamond rivieres and : brooches. : : --Previous Message-- : Photo of her Posted at the scandinavian : royals : message board see link : : : :
