I seem to recall an earlier discussion about this topic (probably from before the archive was established), an it was concluded that they were not the same as those worn by the Princess Andrew of Greece.

: clearly see the horseshoe-shaped hair
: ornaments worn by the Countess of Wessex at
    : the Danish wedding.

: I am not sure, yet, that these are the same

: grandmother-in-law Princess Alice of Greece

    : Wessex
: was visibly wearing "something" at
: the back of her hair at the Danish wedding
: in 2004, but I have found no clear image so
    : far.

: Queen Margrethe has a ruby horse shoe brooch
: given to her by her father when she became
: heiress to the throne. The Dutch collection
: has one with sapphires, given by Prince
: Bernhard to Juliana for the birth of
: Princess Irene. Do we know of other
: horseshoe jewels in the royal collections?
