I might suggest that those Queens Consort - Alexandra and Mary - might have considered the jewels, which we now know as "heirlooms of the crown", to be worn by a queen regnant.

For Alexandra, I could fully understand if she was reluctant to wear jewels associated closely with Queen Victoria.

Queen Mary might have followed Queen Alexandra's lead in that matter, particularly during Queen Alexandra's lifetime.

: I have never seen Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary
: or Queen Elizabeth either with Queen Anne
: and Queen Caroline's necklaces, or with
: Queen Victoria's Jubilee Necklace (which is
    : also a Crown heirloom).
    :
: Of course, I do not suggest that they have
: never worn these jewels, only that I have
: never seen any picture of them with these
    : jewels.
    :
: If one of these Queens was ever photographed
: with Queen Anne or Queen Caroline's pearl
: necklaces, it must have been probably with
: only one of these two necklaces - which
: could make it less easily recognizable than
: when both necklaces are worn together.

: We all know that QEQM was said to have loved
: pearls, and she has been photographed
    : wearing some lovely strands.
    :
: Has has anyone ever seen her photographed
: wearing the Crown peals - that is the Queens
: Anne and Caroline set - which was given to
: QEII by her father as a wedding present.
    :
: Are there photos, or portraits, of Queen
: Mary or Queen Alexandra wearing this set?
