I've always thought it unfortunate that such a lovely tiara was broken up, especially since it seemed to be a favorite early on. It has been speculated that it was due to the frame becoming too fragile. However if the frame had still been usable or even reconstructed I would love to have seen three ruby roses made that could have been worn interchangeably with the diamonds.
