    How very interesting, thank you! I didn' know the origin of this brooch. How "imperial" these comunist leaders were...ofering such lavish gifts like he was the Tsar himself...


    I wonder about other comunist leaders visiting monarchies... Do we know of more of these lavish gifts?
    I remember reading on how QEII hide behind a bush not to salute the (horrific) Ceausescu couple who were oficially visiting, and coincidently walking around the garden at the same time the queen was .
    Are there any more "soviet" jewelry gifts known, also in other royal houses?
