    I have no information about the origin of this beautiful large floral spray brooch. The only pictures I have of the Queen-Mother wearing this brooch are from the 1950s. I wonder if it could be a jewel from the Greville bequest, rather than a wedding gift (but I have no certainty about that).



    Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother later gave this brooch to her daughter Princess Margaret, who wore it occasionally throughout her life. It was not among the jewels sold at auction in 2006 by Princess Margaret's children, so I guess it must still be with Lord David Linley or with Lady Sarah Chatto - unless it was acquired back by the Queen or the Prince of Wales, like the Papyrus tiara worn one year ago by the Duchess of Cambridge for the diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace.
