The beautiful diamond brooch of Empress Eugénie, once part of the amazing currant-leaf parure of the French Crown Jewels (see our previous thread at http://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/thread/1412840602.html), was sold on 11th November in Geneva, at Christie's, for 2 million US$ (1.9 million Swiss Francs). It is the bottom price of Christie's estimate, which was between 2 and 3 million US$.
Unfortunately, I could find no information about the lucky new owner of this brooch. Of course, my dream would be that the Louvre Museum won the bid, but I have found no information in this sense. Has anyone more information?
Thanks in advance!
Arthur
