In March 2000, the American actress Hilary Swank received an Oscar for her part in the movie Boys don't cry, directed by Kimberly Pierce.
For the Academy Awards ceremony, during which she received her Oscar, Hilary Swank wore a huge and gorgeous antique diamond necklace. Interestingly, the following link mentions that this necklace (estimated US$250,000 worth) is from Asprey & Garrard and "was originally created for one of Queen Victoria’s daughters in 1890 and can be turned into a tiara": http://www.jewelsdujour.com/2014/03/most-memorable-oscar-jewels-of-all-time/
Does anyone know if this information is reliable? And which daughter of Queen Victoria was the owner of this whopper necklace/tiara?
And if you don't know... well, enjoy the bling anyway!
