Last week, on 6th March 2015, the Grand-Duke and Grand-Duchess of Luxembourg hosted an official dinner in honour of the French President, François Hollande, who was paying an official visit to the country.
The dresscode was quite disappointing, as it was not even black-tie, but mere jacket-and-tie - and consequently, the Grand-Ducal ladies did not displayed much jewellery.
Grand-Duchess Maria-Teresa wore a pearl necklace, the big pearl drop earrings of the Grand-Ducal collection and a small pearl and diamond "négligé" brooch dating back to Grand-Duchess Charlotte.
Hereditary Grand-Duchess Stéphanie wore a pair of amethyst and diamond earrings which I had not seen earlier. A new acquisition to the Grand-Ducal collection?
