There was a picture & mention of this brooch in a book put out by Royal Collection Publications for the Diamond Jubilee, along with photos of a lot of items used by The Queen over the years, such as saddles, dresses etc... & quite a few of her jewels such as the Williamson pink diamond brooch & the bracelet designed by Prince Philip for their 5th wedding anniversary so it looks like it would be still with the Queen, only it seems odd that she hasn`t been seen to wear it for so long. --Previous Message-- : : : --Previous Message-- : As far as I know, Queen Elizabeth II has not : worn this brooch since her teenage years - : at least, I do not have later pictures of : her wearing it (but if anyone has a picture : proving I am wrong about this, please post : it! ). Which is a pity, as this brooch is : really lovely. : : I have not seen this brooch worn by any of : the Queen's daughter or daughters-in-law : either, so I think we can suppose that it is : still in the Queen's possession. : : Thanks everyone. Nellie's lovely big picture : shows just how gorgeous the brooch is. I : especially love the carved leaves. It is : just so naturalistic. I much prefer it to : the well known and often worn Flower Basket : Brooch. Like Arthur, I hope there is another : picture of the Queen wearing it. Given that : she is quite sentimental with her jewellery : choices, I can't help wondering if the : Flower Basket could have replaced the : Jardiniere which I hope was not lost at some : point - just conjecture of course. : :
