In addition to what you said, Arthur, it does seem the Princess had worn another brooch on her lower right side of the sash at the Balmoral dance picture in your post.
I will see if there are other pictures of Diana wearing brooches in my picture file. Although, she was also pictured wearing military (or offical organization of which she was a patron) regiment badges or brooches, whichever you call them.
