I like it too but Maxima has been wearing it so much that i find it a bit boring. To me it's a stunning piece for a princess or if the Queen is the only lady in a tiara (State Visits to republics), but on this grand gathering i would have liked a larger tiara. She could have added the top part of the Van Kempen Tiara to it (5 diamond sunbursts and 4 pearl drops).
--Previous Message-- : : I love that bandeau of diamonds. Nobody has : anything to match it. : : : --Previous Message-- : Too bad she opted once again for the rose : cut : bandeau. I would have preferred her to wear : a larger piece of the Orange-Nassau : collection. Queen Emma's floral tiara with : the stars would have been a perfect choice : for this event. : : --Previous Message-- : Queen Maxima wore the diamond collet tiara : and, pinned on her waist, the large bow : brooch of the House diamond parure. : : I had not spotted it initially, but there is : a very interesting detail: it seems that the : bow brooch of the House diamond parure has : been increased again: when it had been worn : by Princess Laurentien in 2013 and by Queen : Maxima in 2014, it consisted only of the : main two-knot bow; now, a third knot has : been added back at the top of the brooch. : : So it demonstrates that the bow brooch had : not been dismantled, and that all (or at : least most of) the pieces of the original : brooch still exist, and can be assembled : together back again, if wanted. This is very : good news! : : Here the brooch in its full original : condition (top left), worn by Princess : Laurentien at Queen Beatrix's pre-abdication : gala reception in 2013 (top right) and by : Queen Maxima in Tokyo in 2014 (bottom): : : : : : And how it was worn this evening in : Copenhagen (picture previously posted by : Stig): : : : : : : : :
