I am still puzzled over, what seems to be, Meg's continued use of the Teck Crescent Tiara and Circles Necklace.
The picture on Ursula's site for the Pearl & Diamond Choker seems to be taken some years after the original post to this thread yet Meg once again is shown wearing the same combination.
The Marchioness had quite the stash of jewellery in her own right (as Ursula's research points out),but maybe she wore the Teck finery for special court occasions. I would expect this to be the case much of the time where the titled wife would wear the "family" jewels as matriarch.
I am beginning to wonder if Queen Mary not only bought the Queen Adelaide bracelet from her brother but also the Teck Crescent Tiara and Circle Necklace.
One might assume that Mary Adelaide left these pieces to her elder son and that Queen Mary purchased them from her brother for some reason(s) unknown to us - perhaps financial or sentimental - or a bit of both.
Is anyone able to provide any dates for Queen Mary and her wearing of the Teck Crescent Tiara or Circles Necklace?
p.s. It was nice to see another picture of Meg. Another mystery - why do so few pictures seem to exist?
The picture on Ursula's site looks to have been taken at the same time and the full length portrait but is much clearer. Unfortunately it seem to have been "flipped" in the developing as the Marchioness's orders and bracelet should be on her left side - but that's ok, it lets us get a better view!
