Here you have Jorge, from my old archives, Alexandre de Paris working on May 13th 1995 Just about to place the tiara
He was interviewed by one portuguese tv and said he had been invited by the French Royal Family, he also said the bride was very beautiful and had a wonderful hair. He was the "oficial" hairdresses of French royal ladies, mostly at their weddings. He was the hairdresser of Dona Isabel for all the prewedding events also. She wore very elaborate hairstyles. If I am not mystaken he also created the famous, and still lasting, hair style of Beatrix of the Netherlands, and I believe also of the late Fabíola of Belgium. Quite influential in the royal circles
He arrived in the same car as the bride (also with the dressmaker Laurinda Farmhouse), and hold the bouquet as Dona isabel waved at the thousands of wellwishers before entering the Monastery
Mr. Alexandre de Paris passed away some years ago.
--Previous Message-- : I was very young at the time so I really have : no idea who Alexandre de Paris is/was! : : About the mirrored necklace, I have been : thinking for some time now if D.Amelia had : not it dismantled in order to create the : diamond choker/tiara. After all we know that : both D.Luis diadem and the coker/tiara : arrived to the present Duke of Braganza in : the same box (even though not the original : one). : : However according to the book about the : portuguese royal jewels the mirrored : necklace had about 500 diamonds and the : diamond collier de chien does not appear : to have so many diamonds. Besides, Queen : Amelia was not known for playing with her : jewels like Queen Mary of UK, that was : always changing her jewels. : : The sapphire necklace disappearence is : tragic: I still believe that the portuguese : royal collection should have more sapphires. : :
