    I have just finished watching the programme. For those who love pear shaped pearls could I recommend you look at the end of this documentary where the crown of Empress Farah is shown. The pearls (as well as all the other gems) are amazing.

    Other highlights for me were - the very large sapphire which Queen Marie of Romania had (did she purchase it from her sister?); the diamond diadem of Princess Marie Bonaparte; a beautiful opal and diamond bracelet by Cartier and some of the jewels of the Duchess of Windsor.

    Unfortunately, I have forgotten the details of some of the gems shown in the first part - so I'll have to watch the video again!! And again, especially to see the French royal jewels!

    Edit: At approximately 1.16.38 the documentary shows a brooch where the leaves are articulated. I am drawing attention to that as I suspect that QEII's Flame Lily brooch may have some parts articulated, particularly the stamens - which may explain why they are in different positions in various photos.
