I mean the diamond necklace with triangular pendants. The necklace now is most often seen as a riviere. It transforms into a tiara and the set also has a pair large earrings. The reason why i had hoped for the ears of wheat is that they symbolise prosperity. Maxima was the only one wearing a tiara for that ceremony so a smaller one would have worked especially with a white or gold dress. Had the evening been gala event Maxima could have worn the Stuart parure leaving the sapphire set (with the dress) for a State Visit. --Previous Message-- : Sorry, Johan, which necklace do you call the : "diamond pendant necklace"? : : Though I would have liked it very much if : Maxima had worn the laurel tiara or the : ears-of-wheat tiara when she was a Crown : Princess (or even now, when she is the : Queen), I do not think it would have been : the best option for the investiture : ceremony. Though these tiaras are lovely, I : expected something grander for the : enthronement ceremony... and I was not : disappointed! : : : :
