--Previous Message-- : : Did Sofia's parents receive the Serphim : Order ? : AFAIK the King of Sweden is not allowed to bestow an order on 'ordinary' Swedish citizens. That was why Prince Daniel received his Seraphim order after the wedding. Maybe you remember, the couple went down the aisle after the service, Prince Daniel wore no order and when the church's door opened, the groom wore the sash and star of the Seraphim. Because after the wedding, he became member of the Royal Family and as such he was allowed to get and accept these honours.
