    No need to excuse, airgrette. Luckily, taste differs, and in your eyes, this brooch may be horrible and an example for bad taste. For me it's a - as I wrote - charming jewel .

    I'm particularly fond of the miniatures of this era and this brooch is one, but in a different interpretation and gives an intimate insight into the then Royal Family.

    I'm convinced, it may - even today - look quite lovely for a children related event (as e.g. the christening of a baby). I would never expect HM wearing this brooch when having a daytime engagement or The Duchess of Cornwall on the sash of an order.
