    Dear Arthur

Thank you for the identification of the British sapphire and emerald flower brooch of Queen Elizabeth II ! It is great !

I don't understand why she doesn't wear this brooch more often. She could have worn this brooch in Germany for exemple with the green and blue dress.

Dear Adca, it would be great if you could give us more information concerning the origin of the brooch.

Please find below my list of jewels received by Queen Mary as wedding gifts (From differents sites including the site royal magazin and the QD'BOOK)

"At each stage of the Queen Mary's life, jewellery - diamonds in particular - played a significant part in establishing her public image. For her marriage in 1893 to the Duke of York, the future George V, a very considerable quantity of jewellery, the majority of diamonds and pearls, descended on the rather shy and rather retiring Princess.

: One thing which surprised me on reading that
: this was a wedding gift from Earl
: Fitzwilliam is that it would have been a
: rather modest gift, as, at the time, the
: Earl was enormously rich (and the family had
: been so for a long time). Perhaps this was a
: token gift if the Fitzwilliams were not
    : personal friends.
