Yes, King Haakon was born Prince Carl of Denmark, and was elected king of Norway when it achieved its independence. King Olav was born Prince Alexander of Denmark. He was renamed Olav at the age of 2 when his father became king.
I have not been able to find a list of King Olav's godparents, but he was born in England and seems to be wearing the Victorian christening robe in the photo with Queen Mary. Olav's mother Maud was a sister of George V.
