    Queen Mathilde at the Belgian national day Archived Message

    Queen Mathilde has worn a few interesting (albeit minor) jewels in the past days, notably for the celebrations of the Belgian national holiday on 21st July:

    - on 21st July, for the Te Deum at Brussels Cathedral and the military parade, Queen Mathilde wore once again the pearl and diamond earrings which had belonged to Queen Fabiola:



    - the day before, on 20th July, Queen Mathilde had opted for a pair of long dangling earrings, which look to be made of turquoises, pale blue topaz (or aquamarines?) and enamel. Not sure if these earrings are made of real stones or are costume jewellery, but they look good!




    - a few days earlier, on 17th July, she attended the inauguration of the annual summer opening of Brussels' Royal Palace. A good opportunity to get a clear view of her beautiful sapphire ring, and of her golden chain-link bracelet with multigem and diamond hearts:
