Thank you for raising the question and assembling the images. I've no explanation for the loops, but I'm puzzled that some of the connecting diamond elements seem to be turned around. These elements have one round and one pointed side which I believe is meant to look outwards, but only three of eight elements show into this direction:
I assume the necklace can be disassembled into its elements and whoever assembled them for the photo didn't pay attention to the design of the diamond links. Which raises the question if the two elements with the loops are necessarily meant to be next to the clasp. And indeed there is a photo where those two elements are placed next to the centre front part of the necklace.
This way two of the loops could be used as additional options for pendants. The fact that there are loops on either side of the elements might hint at an alternative use as interlinks for earrings.
