Yes Shubbery , if the tiara was beautiful, it was also because of the lace Veil who has a Story: Miss Laure Mosselman du Chenoy (1851 - 1925 ) from belgian Nobility ordered a Veil (Brussel's Lace) to marry in 1877 Fulco Tristano Ruffo di Calabria. Their Son Fulco Ruffo di Calabria married in 1911 Luisa Gazelli di Rossano who wore the Veil at her wedding Day. Their Daughters wore it also and their youngest daughter is Poala who married HRH Albert Prince de Liege. The Brussel's lace Veil came back to Belgium . The Italian Paola wore the Laure Mosselman Brussel's Veil It needed 2 restaurations in 1986 for Prince Astrid's Wedding and in 1999 for Mathilde's Wedding. Claire Coombs wore it also for her Wedding with Prince Laurent. And in Italy Elisabetta wore the Belgian Veil Queen Paola is owner of the Veil since 2011. We will see it back many times more in the future... I am sorry, this is not about jewels but it is such a nice family story. --Previous Message-- : : A beautiful tiara.
