I don't know why the links are not working Torkel. If you are interested in seeing the items the Royal Collection Inventory Numbers are 1 First link RCIN 605713. 2 Second link RCIN 605712. I recollect the portrait you mention where Queen Victoria wore the coronet at the back of her head. The Times, 16 March 1866 reported that, for a Court held the previous day, The Queen had ornamented her cap with diamonds and had "a small coronet of diamonds and sapphires at the back of the head..." Presumably, the coronet was covered by her veil. She also wore a diamond necklace and a large sapphire set in diamonds as a brooch.
