I don't remember who has post this but it's story.

    Here's what Mrs. Plunket wrote:

"The Lady Plunket in the picture, was my husband's grand mother. She was the daughter of the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava.
"My husband' mother (Dorothe) owned the tiara. She died on a tragic airplane accident going to a party given by Randolph Hears at San Simeon in 1938. The Plunked tiara went to her oldest son who became Lord Plunket. (Patrick)
"Patrick was King George the Vl th Equerry and when the King died, he continued to work for Queen Elizabeth ll.

"At some point in time, Patrick sold the tiara and bought a more beautiful one at "Phillips" in London.
One evening there was a glitch of some sort with the tiara the Queen was to wear and Patrick lent her the Plunket tiara for that evening.

    "Voila! That's the story.

    "All the best,

    Andrea and Shaun"
