These photographs of The Queen by the renowned British photographer Mary McCartney have been released to mark the moment Her Majesty becomes the longest reigning British Monarch, 9 September 2015.
HM wears her usual, daytime 3-strand pearl necklace with her pearl & diamond earrings along with the small pink topaz (?) and diamond brooch.
The provenance of this brooch is unclear, but its use on this occasion suggests, to me at least, that there might be a connection to Queen Victoria.
