I had hoped to spend some time to find better images of Queen Fabiola wearing large gold bracelets but, as Hans has started this thread, and because of the recent discussion about the bracelet worn by Queen Mathilde in Poland, I thought I should post these photos tonight.
Hopefully other posters will have better images.
The point I would like to make is that Queen Fabiola wore at least one very large gold bracelet (which one photo shows was ensuite with her gold necklace and earrings). I think HM may have worn a second large bracelet. Whether one (if more than one) of the bracelets is the same as the one worn by Queen Mathilde in Poland is something I have not determined yet as, in the photos I have found, I cannot see the central element we could see in Queen Mathilde's bracelet.
I think it is possible that Queen Mathilde's bracelet may have come from Queen Fabiola, but obviously I don't have proof - just an idea based on the fact that Fabiola did have a large (or two large) gold bracelets.
Circa 1970
The elements in the bracelet in this photo match the necklace and earrings.
I suspect this is the same gold bracelet as in the photo above, but I am not sure.
This is the same occasion as in the second photograph.
