    This very modern gold brooch is be the contemporary designer Andrew Grima.

    It is a stylised gold flower set with diamonds and carved rubies which had formerly been part of an Indian turban jewel.

    By Grima:
    the one with the rubies (which stones are formerly part of a an Indian head ornament) was a prize winning piece
    It was one of 12 pieces which, as a collection, had won the 1966 Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for Elegant Design, and he later bought it for the Queen.
