Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis is without a doubt one of favorite personalities of all time. The dichotomy that is Princess TNT is what facinates me most, I suppose. From a punk haired, jewel ladden, party girl and by her own admission "spoiled brat" she has grown into the devout Catholic and shrewd business woman we know her as today.
Next month, Rizzoli is publishing The House of Thurn und Taxis which is filled with beautiful pictures from the celebrated photographer and Thurn und Taxis family friend, Todd Eberle.
To my eternal delight, the book will include photographs of not only Princess Gloria in a rarely worn tiara, but her two daughters as well. Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis claims it was Eberle who requested the ladies be photographed in tiaras (not to mention some of Gloria's vintage couture, which I was delighted to see again). She also claims it marked the first time her mother allowed her to wear these princely heirlooms. Unfortunately, it will most likely be the last time, as well. So thank you Mr. Eberle, for allowing us this glimpse of these magnificent tiaras.
