Fascinating, thank you very much LauraM! To think this unpublished Fabergé piece lay in the Royal Collection for 80 years without being identified is remarkable. I wonder if we might deduce that other missing "surprises" from the eggs were separated at the same time and made their way to London (Wartski's) in the same batch.
