I would perfectly understand if the King felt uncomfortable about his spouse accepting this valuable collection; at least, if it was given to the Queen in sole ownership. Should the bequest have been labelled straight away or at the Quuen's passing as crown property however, it would be different, as these items ultimately go to the state.
Yet we don't know which items Queen Elizabeth added to the crown collection after her death, if any.....
