I have never got around to locating my copy Nellie. My copy was a hardback and I suspect published after 2000 (or at least I purchased it around then). It is here somewhere, but where? Unfortunately, I won't have time to do a hunt until the weekend. I think that Ursula's site is based on the list in Clarke, as is the one on the Alexander Palace forum http://forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php?topic=567.150. Clarke was the first to find the information from the firm's old records (that is the estimated prices and the subsequent sale prices) and dispel the myth that Queen Mary had paid less than market value to the Grand Duchesses. See the note at the end of Ursula's page http://www.royal-magazin.de/russia/marie-feodorovna-pearls.htm Clarke recounts the difficulties he encountered in trying to obtain the information and makes the comment that he cannot understand why Buckingham Palace didn't refute the allegations years ago. I cannot remember which chapter has the details but it is not a list in an appendix. --Previous Message-- : : Beth - I am looking at a paperback which : does not have any list. : Would you please give details of the edition : you are referring to. Must be later I think. : : :
