Wow! Great detail. Thanks for sharing. Do you think this is the same fringe tiara/necklace given to Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia on her wedding to the Duke of Connaught. Prince Arthur of Connaught is their 2nd child.
From Ursula's site, this fringe necklace was a give from the Duchess of Kent: http://www.royal-magazin.de/england/connaught/connaught-wedding-bracelet.htm I guess there are two fringes to be considered. The one that came from the Duchess of Connaught down to Prince Arthur (whose sisters are Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden and Lady Patrcia Ramsay) and the fringe that Princess Louise, Princess Royal married to the 1st Duke of Fife whose daughter Alexandra married Prince Arthur of Connaught. I think we need to figure out who gave the Princess Royal her fringe tiara because I think there are two fringes here: one from the parents of Princess Arthur and one from the parents of Prince Arthur. This is the only thing I could find on wedding gifts to Princess Louise and the Duke of Fife: http://www.lookandlearn.com/history-images/U271097/Wedding-Presents-to-the-Princess-Louise-and-the-Duke-of-Fife ------------------------- ADDED: I found on Ursula's site: http://www.royal-magazin.de/england/fife-louise-wedding.htm Princess Louise's fringe tiara was a wedding gift. So there are two different fringes. I know Lady Patricia wore the one that came from the Connaught side (originally came from Duchess of Kent), but not sure where the Fife fringe end up.
