Thank you for these very interesting photo Hans. I apologise for not having replied earlier. I have been trying for the last couple of days to envisage Queen Maud's necklace as a tiara without the pear pearls, and reconcile that with the photos you posted. Unfortunately, I have not been able to reach any conclusion. In part that is because the photos of the Countess do not give a clear view of her tiara and, in part, because my eye is not sufficiently sharp to spot differences. Thank you for the photos. They gave me a lot to think about. I hope that others will know more.
