What an intriguing image - a great find Nellie.
Queen Charlotte has been depicted wearing a similar tiara in a number of sketches etc, although the precise details seem to vary.
I suspect that on the side of her head she has jewelled pins at the ends of braids, but it is difficult to be certain.
But the extraordinary looking jewel on the crown of her head!! I wondered if it was something like a brooch - possibly like the jewel she is wearing here
But that idea does not take into account that the ornament rises up and curves over and has a pendant. I am at a loss to even describe it, much less know what it is.
