    Swedish Royal Christmas Gifts Archived Message

    Recently I stumbled upon some old articles from old Swedish Newspapers. In them I was surprised to see that the gifts given to the royal family members (from other family members) were published. I am highlighting the jewels that are included below- I am not sure if there is any way to identify these pieces but I wanted to share anyway.

    1899

    - The King (Oscar II) gave the Queen (Sofia) a miniature watch to be worn on the chest in enamel and jewels

    - The King (Oscar II) and Queen (Sofia) gave the Crown Princess (Victoria) a jewel brooch from Möllenborg


    1900
    - The King (Oscar II) gave the Queen (Sofia) Jewellery of opals and jewels, The Crown Princess (Victoria) Rubies and Jewels and (Princess) Ingeborg rubies and Jewels

    Princess Ingeborg also got 2 jeweled brooches from the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark.
