When I first read this board some years ago, there was a note in the board description that said non-royal jewels could occasionally be discussed. More recently, that has not been the norm. Perhaps it has been more a decision of the participants than of the moderator. I think you will find that jewels worn at the Oscars often have royal provenance. In any case, that does seem to be an exception every year. Most of the time, it is probably less confusing if the content of the postings follows the board's title. I am sure Ms. Carey's jewels are very interesting, but there is probably a jewels site where they are more appropriately discussed. I hope you can find such a site.
